So a friend of mine, my college age Son and myself, all have a great appreciation for things that are “handmade” or “one of a kind” handmade items. Such as knives, jewelry, belts, leather goods, furniture, boots, etc. Things that are made out of repurposed materials as well. Meaning, ya find something and ya make something else out of it. Either by melting it down, cutting it up into usable chunks that you want or just leaving it as it is and incorporating it into the new item. There are tons of neat and genius things out there I have seen that were once something far from what they are now.
So, what is ya’lls opinion, thoughts or input on purchasing items like that? Either for gifts, just cuz or for yourself? Oh, and just so y’all know, these “handmade” things are usually cheaper than big name brand items. Usually. Sometimes one can find things that are a little expensive, some that are really expensive. But in those cases you have to remember the time, work and knowledge it took to build, by hand, those items. Some things are absolutely beautiful. Some are priceless, in my opinion. Let me know what y’all think and what items you would most prefer to be “handmade” or “one of a kind”.
